Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to plan an effortless escape to our secluded Cavendish, Vermont retreat.

Check-In & Stay Logistics

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. We offer seamless contactless smart lock self check-in. Your private digital keypad access code will be sent to your email 24 hours prior to arrival.

What is the occupancy and cabin capacity?

Each cabin is designed as an intimate sanctuary for 2 to 4 guests max. Bedding includes an open second-story queen loft bedroom plus a comfortable pull-out sofa sleeper on the main living floor.

Are pets allowed at Sugar Maple Mountain Retreat?

To preserve an allergen-free sanctuary for wellness travelers and maintain the pristine condition of our woodland grounds, pets are strictly not permitted.

What kind of vehicle do I need in winter?

Our driveway and mountain roads are plowed promptly, but Vermont winters bring heavy snow. We strongly recommend All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) with snow/winter tires from November through April.

Amenities & Gear Inclusions

How does access to the hot tub and barrel sauna work?

The communal outdoor hot tub is open year-round for all registered guests. Towels are provided in your cabin. Our authentic Nordic wood-fired panoramic barrel sauna is currently in development, launching in Fall 2026.

How do we access the kayaks and paddleboards?

Complimentary watercraft (kayaks and stand-up paddleboards with paddles and USCG-approved life vests) are staged seasonally from May through October at our two walkable neighborhood lakes/ponds just minutes away.

Is firewood provided for our private fire pit?

Yes! Each cabin features its own private conversation deck, stone fire pit, outdoor grill, complimentary seasoned Vermont firewood, and organic fatwood resin fire-starters.

Are laundry facilities available?

Yes. On-campus modern washer and dryer facilities with eco-friendly detergent are accessible to all guests for gear washing after hiking or ski days, making extended stays seamless.

Wi-Fi, Connectivity & Working Remotely

Is there reliable internet for remote work?

Yes. Each cabin is powered by high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi, easily supporting Zoom video calls, streaming on your Roku TV, or remote creative work deep in the woods.

Is cell service available?

Cell service varies by carrier in the Vermont mountains. Wi-Fi calling is fully supported and recommended once connected to your cabin's private network.
